Gerhard Mayrhuber (sports expert) is in charge of the performance physiology checks which are repeated at regular intervals during the preparation in order to analyse the athletes’ performance curve. Several ergometric tests and other methods used in sports sciences and performance physiology measure the participants’ pulse, arterial blood pressure, oxygen saturation and the regulatory capacities of their metabolism.
With a view to stability, the athletes’ (energy-saving, deeper) intrinsic muscles are trained and monitored to allow them to master the 24h strain. A team of physiotherapists headed by Jessica Mair is currently working on this preparation with the aid of so-called Redcord exercises.
The regulatory capacities of their metabolism are being monitored with Mevitec® cell regulation screening methods. This allows the experts to work out individual nutrition and mental training programmes based upon the lifestyle and training results of each athlete.
