Christian Hainz, former World Cup skier and owner of a ski school in South Tyrol, first came up with the idea. His motivations for organising such a huge event are simple: “One day I thought about a certain natural yet strong competitive attitude I noticed among the skiing instructors at Kronplatz. It occurred to me that it might be good to have a common project, something for which all ski schools in the resort have to work together. Trying to think of something big for everybody to contribute, I came up with the world record experiment.”
16 skiing instructors from 3 ski schools who master 1 million metres of difference in altitude – downhill and together. In order to achieve their objective, every single contestant will have to reach and overcome their individual physical and psychological limits. Team spirit becomes essential during both training and the event: A shared fight against the altitude – and against exhaustion. A winter fairy tale at Kronplatz: A huge challenge which we are determined to master together.
One Team, one goal!
