Regeneration

Regeneration is just as important as activating the athletes’ organ and metabolism systems. Findings of experts in sports sciences have proven that a sound regeneration training can lead to better performance improvements than an increase in physical training.

That is why the participants are preparing under strict monitoring and employing their regeneration periods according to the needs marked by their jobs, family lives and physical training. Special attention is paid to adapting their lifestyles and balancing them with the help of mental training methods and a healthy diet.

During the last few days prior to the event, the athletes will be subjected to a special adaptation of their sleep/wake cycle in order to ideally prepare them for the time-aspect of the challenge, since the attempt begins at 10 pm. This adaptation is similar to what happens in our bodies when we travel long distances and therefore experience jetlag symptoms.
